The Client's Need

The client is a logistics company that needed its warehouse in Jebel Ali ready for pallet storage quickly, with a clear budget. Like most logistics operators, they move a steady flow of palletised goods, so they needed straight, safe aisles for forklifts and as many pallet locations as the building could hold.

They chose quality used pallet racking: it costs less than new racking, it is available from stock, so there is no long factory lead time, and when it is in full condition it does the same job.

Our Solution

After a site visit and measurement, we planned the layout around the building and the goods, using three rack heights: 7 m, 6 m and 5 m. This puts taller runs where the height allows and lower runs where it does not, so no usable space is wasted.

We supplied the racking from our own used stock. Every upright, beam and accessory comes from closing warehouses, is no more than one year old, and is checked before it leaves our yard. Column guards were fitted to protect the uprights at the aisle ends.

Installation: 110 Bays in 5 Days

Our own team of 10 installers assembled, levelled and anchored all 110 bays in 5 working days. No subcontractors were used, which kept the quality and the schedule under our control. The racks were handed over ready to load, and the video above shows them in use.
